Restaurants, cafés & food counters

Neon signs for restaurants and cafés.

Restaurant signage has to work twice — once from the sidewalk to bring someone in, and once inside to make the room feel like somewhere worth sitting. We build neon and LED signage for restaurants, cafés, juice bars and food counters, hand-made in Florida with free US shipping and 60-day business terms.

Hand-built in Dania Beach, Florida. Free US shipping · Two-year warranty · NET60 for approved businesses.

What restaurants actually order.

Storefront and window signage

The piece that does the selling. Window-mounted signs need to read at walking speed from across a sidewalk, which usually means fewer words and a heavier stroke than owners first ask for. Outdoor-mounted work needs an outdoor-rated build — ask for it explicitly.

Dining-room feature pieces

A phrase, a dish, or the restaurant name, sized for the wall a camera points at. Restaurants get more organic reach from a well-placed interior sign than from almost any other fitting at the same price.

Counter, menu and host-stand lettering

Smaller pieces marking order points, pickup counters and the host stand. These earn their keep operationally as much as visually — a lit "order here" resolves queue confusion faster than printed signage.

Every one of these ships as-is, or use it as the starting point for a custom build in your own wording, colour and size.

From the workshop

Three things worth getting right in a restaurant.

Kitchen-adjacent means grease

Airborne grease films everything within a few metres of a pass or fryer, and once it settles on an acrylic backing it dulls the output. Keep signage out of the immediate pass line, and if it has to live near the kitchen, plan on wiping it down with the rest of the front-of-house schedule.

Outdoor-rated is a different build

A sign facing the street through glass is fine indoors. A sign actually mounted outside — under a canopy, on a patio, above a walk-up window — needs the outdoor-rated build. In Florida, sun and salt air are what kill under-specified signage, not rain.

Read it at walking speed

Sidewalk traffic gives you about two seconds. Three or four words in a heavy face beats a full sentence in an elegant one every time. If the sign carries your name, that is usually all it should carry.

Restaurants & Cafés — common questions.

Can a neon sign go outside my restaurant?

Only if it is built for it. Ask for the outdoor-rated build when you order — it is a different construction, not a coating applied afterwards. Every outdoor build carries the same two-year warranty, which in Florida is mostly a warranty against sun and salt air.

Will it survive near the kitchen?

It will run fine, but airborne grease will film the acrylic and dull the output over time. Keep it out of the direct pass line where you can, and add it to the front-of-house cleaning schedule where you cannot.

How many words should a storefront sign have?

Three or four. You have roughly two seconds of a passer-by’s attention, and a heavy short phrase outperforms an elegant long one at that speed. Save the longer copy for the interior piece, where people are seated.

Do you offer terms for a new restaurant?

Approved businesses order on NET60 and pay 60 days later, which lines up better with a fit-out schedule than paying up front. Qualification is a soft check on an owner holding 75% or more.
